Since the SRM University is recognized
as a University by the UGC, proper records and documents should have
been kept for all their activities. But the SRM University is not
conducting the Entrance Examinations properly, no question paper is
issued for this, and the situation is that even the Tamil Nadu Higher
Education Department cannot interfere on this matter.
No proper approval has been obtained from the local administration and the Panchayat Board or Corporation for the land acquisition and construction of buildings of the SRM University as well as the other colleges. The buildings constructed without proper approval cannot be regularized. All these things were done during the DMK period. When the Government initiated action on some of such buildings in T. Nagar, some people approached the Court of Law and got it stayed. But in this case of SRM group, neither any action has been initiated by the government nor any stay obtained from the court.
